Chesterfield Symphony Orchestra (CSO), under the musical direction of Jack Grime, presents an evening of music featuring much loved classical favourites.

The concert opens with Bishop Rock Overture by Doreen Carwithen. This premiered in Birmingham in 1952 and is part of CSO's theme to perform works by female composers this season.

The wonderfully lyrical and popular Violin Concerto No 1 by Bruch follows and in the 2nd half, immerse yourselves and enjoy the powerful and emotional melodies of Symphony No. 2 in E minor by Rachmaninoff. 

The orchestra are excited to be joined by Lizzie Dawson for the Bruch violin concerto.
