The orchestra are excited to welcome back Melissa Doody as our Viola Soloist in our upcoming concert Magical Classics.
Melissa was a member of Chesterfield Symphony Orchestra until 2016, before she left to begin her undergraduate studies with scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London, studying with Jon Thorne and Annette Isserliss. It will be a pleasure for the orchestra to to once again work with Melissa.
Melissa currently holds the viola chair for London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Foyle Future First Professional Development Scheme 2024/2025, and has performed professionally with the Royal Opera House, London Philharmonic Orchestra and is now on a full contract with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Melissa is joining the orchestra to play Forsyth's Viola Concerto on Saturday 12th July at David Nieper Academy, Alfreton.
